Frequently Asked Questions – Part 1

Answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

Q- Hi , I would like to order a hot water system but am not sure of the delivery date yet. If I give a week or so notice can I have it delivered later?

A- Sure no problem If you can send through a followup email just confirming the estimated date required i.e end of may then we can put you in the system to contact a week before estimated delivery.

Q- Is installation in a garage – open at one end OK – the unit would be at the entry end near garage door – any ventilation issues?

A- No this would provide ample airflow for the system to function at 100% efficiency.

Q- I am considering a heat pump to replace our (now broken) HWS. There are currently only two adults in the home for most of the time (although our sons have a habit of returning for a few months at a time. Our house is large with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. What size heat pump would you recommend?

A- Generally in your circumstance I would suggest the Volt model. It is by far the most popular of the two systems and is regularly installed in homes with 5 adults with no hot water supply issues.

Q- Hey whats the cost to have a unit installed?

A- We do not do the installation ourselves as the manufacture we only sell the system. However I can suggest using our plumber locator to supply a list of recommended plumbers in your postcode. All of these plumbing companies have been selected based on positive feedback from customers who have used them to install our systems. You are also free to use any licensed plumber of your choice.

Q- I’ve printed out the STC form, do you want me to complete, sign and send to you today or wait until system is installed and producing hot water as the instructions on the form say?

A- If you can wait until the system has actually been installed before returning the form, as this is the correct procedure, many thanks for your quick response.
